It is Prophecy time again. This week it is the first of a tetrad of lunar eclipses. They coincide with Passover, Sukkot, Passover, Sukkot in order. There will also be two solar eclipses in there. This first lunar one will be on full display this April 14th-15th. A Viewing Guide is here. North and South America seems to have front row seats for this one.
I began a journey of trying to figure out what it would look like if all the apocalyptic prophecies were true and part of the total picture that is about to unfold. The Mayan Clock ran out in 2012. Well life has intruded on my fun time, so that is on delay; but I am still working on it. So let’s go with some interesting bits and pieces. These tetrads are fairly rare and can be correlated to big events in history. So if nothing happens it will be more than just a bit disappointing. This is the year of the Horse—could that be related to the Four Horsemen–Conquest (Putin?), War (throw a dart at any map), Famine (cold weather, drought, disease pick a cause), and Death with Hades following closely (doesn’t take much imagination to picture that.) Then comes the year of the Lamb (Sheep, Ram, Goat) which begins on February 19, 2015. The Lamb is the symbol of Jesus’s sacrifice for sinners. The Bible throws a MAJOR earthquake into the mix near the end of the end times tetrad cycle for good measure (Many major quakes are expected). Passover is the celebration of God sparing the Jews who put the blood of the lamb on the door frames in Egypt. Sukkot is the celebration of the Tabernacle–or gathering of the church. Either date in the year of the Lamb would be a good day for the Rapture of the Church.
At the same time the Iranians have long been saying they are doing all they can to usher in the Mahdi. That entails an internecine war among the Sunni and Shia resulting in the destruction of Damascus, and it seems to be hanging by a thread(sad really). Great discussions of Muslim Prophecy are HERE, and THERE is always Wikipedia.
NASA has put out the word that an apocalypse is not likely—but then they have never seen one have they? Hmmmmmmm????? 🙂
Whatever your thoughts, beliefs, hopes, prayers, this will be a sight to behold. Hope you go take a gander. Then if it is the sign of the times, you won’t have missed it.
